Looking into top schools in Karachi — sharing what I've found so far

My younger brother and his wife recently moved back to Karachi after almost a decade abroad and the first major stress they hit was finding a school for their two kids. They asked me to help with the research and what started as a casual favour quickly turned into a surprisingly deep dive into what makes a top school in Karachi actually worth the label — because that phrase gets thrown around a lot and the reality behind it is more nuanced than most school ranking lists suggest.
The first thing I noticed is that the schools consistently mentioned in the same breath when parents talk about top schools in Karachi tend to cluster around a few key areas — Defence, Clifton, Gulshan and parts of North Karachi — and each has a distinct identity that goes beyond just academic results. Some have built their reputation on O and A level performance and university placement records. Others are known for producing well rounded students through strong sports programmes, arts and extracurricular culture. A few are doing genuinely interesting things with their approach to early years education that sets students up differently from the traditional rote learning model most of us grew up with.
